At the same time, the MPs praised “the outstanding civil society work” of Libereco, of the Belarusian Community Razam e.V. and of Science-at-Risk founded by the Academic Network Eastern Europe (Akno e.V.). The Parliament called on the German government to further support these organisations, “so that they can continue act as contact points in Germany for politically persecuted people from Belarus and provide more information about the situation in Belarus”.
In his speech on the resolution, Bundestag member Robin Wagener (Alliance 90/The Greens) thanked the representatives of the three organisations, who have been present. “Your tireless commitment to the political prisoners and politically persecuted people in Belarus is deeply impressive,” said Wagener.
Today, the German #Bundestag has adopted a resolution in support of the democratic movement in #Belarus🤍❤️🤍
