7 September marks the day of the arrest of opposition leader Maria Kolesnikova. She was arrested on 7 September 2020 and sentenced to 11 years in prison. Since February 2023, there has been no news of her. Maria is one of over 170 women imprisoned as innocent political prisoners. After the rigged presidential elections, these women marched peacefully to demand democracy, dignity and freedom. And they are still being persecuted and sentenced for their courage.
Show your solidarity and join us in demanding the immediate release of Maria and all political prisoners in Belarus!

The vigils take place monthly and are a collaboration between Libereco, RAZAM, ACAT, Campax and Amnesty International.
