With your support, we equip private households, emergency shelters, and nursing homes in Ukraine with heating fuel and evacuate people from areas under shelling. Your contribution helps to create warmth and safety!

Almost three years after Russia started its full-scale invasion, many people in Ukraine are still having to freeze in freezing temperatures. At the same time, their lives are in almost constant danger, especially in the east of the country. Continuous attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure have led to many households, emergency shelters and nursing homes being cut off from heating.

In this situation, older people, in particular, are at risk. They urgently need support to get through the winter safely. At the same time, people have to leave their homes because they can no longer stay in unsafe areas near the front line. Our local partners are evacuating and moving people to safe accommodation in other parts of the country.

With 40 euros, we can finance a person’s evacuation to a safe area; with 170 euros, we can cover a family’s monthly heating costs.

Alternatively, you can also donate via Betterplace.

Who we help

We want to support private households, emergency shelters, and nursing homes. We are particularly helping older people and families with children who live in regions close to the front line and are particularly affected by winter conditions.

How we help

Your contribution allows us to procure solid fuels (e.g., coal briquettes or firewood) and distribute them directly to the affected households and centres. Our partners also organise evacuations for people who can no longer stay in critical areas and bring them to safe accommodation.
