In Belarus, over 1,100 political prisoners are being held in conditions that violate human rights. Brutal arrests, physical and psychological violence, and restrictions on their rights are unfortunately commonplace in the regime’s prisons.

The vigils take place regularly and are a joint initiative of Libereco, RAZAM, ACAT, Campax and Amnesty International.
We ask all persons with a connection to Belarus to take measures for their safety and the safety of their relatives in Belarus. Libereco’s Instagram and X account have been classified as “extremist” by a Belarusian court. This may mean further repression for people in Belarus.
