This event will shed light on the ongoing challenges faced by the Belarusian people and celebrate their unwavering spirit in the face of repression. Together, we will honor those who have fought for freedom and justice in Belarus. Join us for an evening of solidarity and reflection.
Five years ago, the first arrests happened ahead of the 2020 presidential elections, that sparked off an unprecedented wave of struggle and repression which is still ongoing. Belarusian poet Hanna Komar and members of the Belarusian diaspora will reflect on the past five years in human library style, interlaced with poetry readings in this meeting organised by Mara and LIBERECO. We will close with a writing session for Belarusian prisoners. (The event will be in English).
