Thousands of Ukrainians remain in Russian prisons, many without any contact with their families. A simple letter can be a vital sign of care — a reminder that they are not forgotten. Join us in Calgary to write postcards of solidarity to Ukrainians held in Russian captivity. It will be a cozy evening with music, coffee, treats — and a small but powerful act of support.
Ukrainian singer and violinist Anastasia Lykhosherstova will bring live ukulele music and guide everyone in writing messages of hope. We’ll prepare everything you need: postcards, pens, sample messages, and homemade snacks. No need to speak Russian — we’ll provide examples you can copy or adapt.
We meet at Aggüdo Coffee Roasters, and then walk together to Riley Park (800 12 St. NW) to gather, write, and connect among the flowers.
