Initial Situation

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, repression against Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories has intensified. Politically motivated persecution had already begun in Crimea and the Donbas following the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula and the outbreak of war in eastern Ukraine in 2014. Today, around 16,000 people are unjustly imprisoned.

Our goal is to ensure that Ukrainian prisoners held in Russian captivity do not feel forgotten. Your words can give them hope and strength. A letter or postcard is more than just a gesture of solidarity – when many such messages come together, they raise awareness and send a powerful signal to the world.

How We Help

How We Help

Ukrainian civilians who are unlawfully imprisoned in Russia and the occupied territories receive support through targeted public outreach, as well as personal letters and postcards. We share their stories to raise awareness and bring the issue into the public spotlight through events and campaigns. Every message offers comfort, reinforces the feeling of not being forgotten, and sends a signal of international solidarity.
