Berlin Belarus Future Forum 2025
At the conference on 20 October, we will discuss the current political situation in Belarus and how we can support Belarusian civil society and the democracy movement in the long term.
After five years of harsh repression against all opposition and democratic civil society, another sham presidential election and in view of ever closer ties with Russia, we ask: Where does the Belarusian democracy movement stand today – and how can Germany and Europe provide it with sustainable support? What role can a democratic Belarus play in the European security architecture in the long term – and how can Europe prepare the grounds for this today?
Against the backdrop of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, increasing geopolitical instability and growing pressure on democracy movements worldwide, we want to discuss these questions together.
The Berlin Belarus Future Forum on 20 October is Germanys biggest conference regarding Belarus and brings together leading representatives of the Belarusian democracy movement with German and European partners and the interested public.
