We will also include an address label with each postcard, giving the address of one of the prisoners listed below.
How to proceed:

- Colour the front of the card as you wish. The back is pre-printed with a greeting, so no knowledge of Russian or Belarusian is required.
- Stamp with CHF 1.90 (up to 20g) and send the postcard.

Anita was a high-achieving student who wanted to study marketing. She was once sentenced to 2 years’ home confinement for taking part in the 2020 protests. Anita then tried to leave the country with the help of an aid organisation, but was arrested at the border and convicted of “participation in an extremist organisation”.

Andrei Tolchyn

Andrei worked as a freelance journalist for various independent media outlets and had already been the target of state repression before 2020. He was arrested for his reporting and sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for allegedly ‘promoting extremist activities’ and ‘defaming the president’. Andrei suffers from a number of chronic illnesses.

Dzmitryi is the father of a young child. He was arrested for taking part in the protests. The subsequent investigation revealed that Dzmitryi had also donated to charities that the regime considered to be ‘extremist’. Dzmitryi was sentenced to five years in prison.
